On my daily walk in Jubilee Park, I was crossing the foot bridge, and a little girl also crossing said to her dad. 'I hate this bridge. Its so ugly'.
It takes a village to raise a child, and I wasn't going to let her get away with that.
What would you say?
These are the words that came out of my mouth:
'The bridge loves you, and wishes he was more beautiful for you. He is so proud he can carry such a cute little girl across safely'.
'Yeah!' the dad agreed.
Don't insult a poor bridge doing its best. Don't insult a little girl doing her best with what she knows.
Sometimes I wonder how her relationship with this bridge is going.
